maybe the default microsoft service configuration is all cool and groovy for everybody (debatable), but as soon as you start installing third-party
drivers and software, it won't be long until you start adding bloaty junk to the system.
trouble is there are so many third-party services out there, that it's difficult to give you a list of what you can safely get rid of.
msconfig would be a good place to start >> services >> hide all microsoft services.
you have to be real careful, you could find that things don't work properly once you start mucking about.
if you can't stop yourself from tweaking, be sure to disable things one at a time, and test
test TEST!
