I have this problem
Yesterday booted into the xp partition of a dual boot win 7 pro 32.
XP did some auto checkdisk/scan disk stuff before it started on a drive E, not an os drive, after i had been into XP, i booted normally into Windows 7
I started to notice things where sluggish and there was alot of drive activity, light always on, so after a few reboots this is still happening, each time a reboot takes forever, lots of constant HDD access, Once in i tryed to do a system restore to an earlier save, these have now all vanished?
Im now at the point where rebooting just doesn't happen on either OS, same thing each time, hangs on splash screen with constant drive activity, ive tried safe mode, but that exactly the same.
Any one have any ideas of how to fix this?, i vaguely remember this happening before and it was down to a chipset update, which i think fixed it, thing is now, i cant even get into the OS anymore to do this
Thanks in advance
