System Repair is not working.

I have been reading these forums all day and cannot find a solution. I am guessing my problem stems from my sound card as it wasn't secured well enough so after about a month when I go to plug some headphones in it pops out of my motherboard. I turned the PC off and set it back in and everything seemed fine until about a week later I am going through a system repair loop that "Can't find/repair the problem."

(It goes through the start screen to PCI device listing, and then tries to start but fails immediately, a small BSOD appears for a second and it reboots, this time giving me the option to Run system repair or start windows normally. Both of which end up restarting it anyway)

So I made a repair disk and all that stuff but it won't let me boot in safe mode or any others because as soon as the Windows is starting logo comes up it freezes and restarts. Upon closer inspection of the system repair diagnosis it says it found the root problem - namely a possible driver problem - which could only be my sound card. I have removed my card and still don't see any progress with repairs or anything. Also, when I click "View advanced options for system recovery/support" it asks me to log in as admin but neither HomeGroupUser$ or my account will accept my password so that option is out.

I am running 32bit Windows 7 and have been using the computer relatively problem free for about a year and a half. Let me know what info you need and I'll try to fill in the blanks as best I can.

What are my options and best course of action?

Find a Win7 DVD so you can boot into Repair Console to run Startup Repair. I've never seen it ask for sign-in as the Repair CD does - did you try leaving Password blank?

You will need to run Startup Repair which automates dozens of tests and fixes, and sometimes needs running more than once: Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

System Restore is automated in Startup Repair but if it fails you can try running it separately from the Advanced Recover Options menu.

Well it automatically ran the startup repair when it fails to boot the first time. I have currently ran it 16 times, with a handful having complete restarts between them. I guess a password is not needed to get to the advanced menu like you suggested so I did that DiskPart thing because nothing else was working. Unfortunately I made my main HDD active without making the other inactive and so now anytime I try to start it up (Even with the CD/DVD as first boot) it gets to the PCI list and says "BOOTMGR is missing (Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart)." which just restarts the cycle. No chance to press F8, any key, etc. other than getting the BIOS menu.

Any fresh ideas?
