Need help with errors please!

OK - Last night I was dumping my music library into windows media center (I have over 45,000 songs) and it was taking quite a bit of time, so I decided to not do it, and closed out of windows media center. Today, when I started up my computer, I am getting all sorts of errors:

desktop apps can't start because system.ini is in use
Adobe can't run because it can't create a temporary folder
Just about all of my programs won't run unless I run as administrator from the start menu (itunes, vuze, etc.)
I can't even delete a file without it asking for administrator permission - and I am logged in as administrator.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have been searching the internet for solutions, but nothing really seems to be working...

Try to System Restore before you started the copy operation. It will not remove the copied files but may remove any damage done by aborting the operation.

If this doesn't help, study the exact errrors logging in Event Viewer>Custom>Admin to google text and ID# for resolution.

Check also the Performance log on Advanced Tools page accessed by clicking your WEI score link at Computer>Properties. Look for cued issues on Tools page, Generate a System health report.

Type "Problems" in Start Search box to see if solutions have been sent for probs reported or unreported.

It is premature to speculate but these types of fails often happen on heavily tweaked or 3rd-party-optimized Windows 7, imperfect in-place upgrade installs, or factory installs suffering from too much corruption from bloatware (removal) or factory utilities. A careful clean reinstall will usually vanquish these kinds of hangs/bugs which are not at all typical of a good Windows 7 install.

None of that seemed to help. I am only having the problems with the account I use most. I created another administrator profile, and everything there works fine...

Then you'll want to migrate your files over to the new account, test it for a few days to see that all of your programs are installed for all users - if not look for Settings change, Repair option on uninstaller, or uninstall and reinstall.

Once you're ready, delete the other User Account but as a final precaution put it's User files on your desktop for as long as it takes to make sure you got them all copied over, or save it as a backup archive.
