I have tried many if not all of the free defraggers available.....and I have to say, I've had the best luck with Auslogics Disk Defrag on my Windows 7 64-bit. Its fast, does a good job, and improves your performance. I also like and use Puran Defrag, I run its boot defrag+optimize once a month, helps a lot. I also use the two for XP and Vista. Also...I DO NOT recommend Piriform Defraggler...while CCleaner is great, Defraggler is not. I ran it once, and it didn't even finish defragging all of my drive, it finished while there was still 10% fragmented, what's with that? It happens on XP and Vista also. That's why I do not use or recommend Defraggler....

    What "A Guy" said. :)

I downloaded and installed quite a few free defraggers and played with them. I read reviews and searched out issues and I found, IMHO, that Smart Defrag was best for me. Nobody's pick is wrong...their pick is what they consider best for them.

I agree, I just posted what works best for me, but others may work better for you. Choose what does the job right

This is the same with web browsers and security software....whichever works best for you is the best.

Auslogics Disk and Registry Defraggers, following CCleaner monthly.
