| | Notification area I've read Brink's excellent tutorial on how to change this area's settings. I changed the length of time a message appears. I'd like to test what I've done. How do I create a benign notification or action center message to test how long it remains on the screen? Thanks. |

| | turn your firewall off  Windows 7 doesn't like that very much and you should get your test notification  |
