    Notification area


    I've read Brink's excellent tutorial on how to change this area's settings. I changed the length of time a message appears. I'd like to test what I've done. How do I create a benign notification or action center message to test how long it remains on the screen? Thanks.

    turn your firewall off w7 doesn't like that very much and you should get your test notification

    Cool! Good idea. Thanks.

    My notifications are set to last 15 seconds, but they're lasting only 9 seconds. What's with that??
