Boot Up Event Viewer Warning Problem

I have a Dell Studio XPS 9100 computer with Windows 7 Prof (64 bit) installed. The computer appears to run okay but I notice that there is an event viewer warning each time I bootup the computer. The event viewer warning is as listed below. Any help in understanding and/or resolving the warning problem, would be very much appreciated, Sam.

Download VEW by Vino Rosso http://images.malwareremoval.com/vino/VEW.exe
from here and save it to your desktop

Double click it to start it Note: If running Windows Vista or Windows 7 you will need to right click the file and select Run as administrator and click Continue or Allow at the User Account Control Prompt.

Click the check boxes next to Application and System located under Select log to query on the upper left
Under Select type to list on the right click the boxes next to Error and Warning Note: If running Windows Vista or Windows 7 also click the box next to Critical (not XP).

Under Number or date of events select Number of events and type 20 in the box next to 1 to 20 and click Run

Once it finishes it will display a log file in notepad
Please copy and paste its entire contents into your next reply

    SMSSInit Performance Vulnerabilities
Video drivers are a common source of performance problems in the SMSSInit subphase. The video driver must be initialized first in the system session and then in the user session. Reduction of video driver initialization time leads to a direct wall-clock reduction in boot time.
Initialization in the user session is typically much faster than in the system session because Windows performs common initialization tasks during the system session.
This is one thing I've found while searching

Jacee, many thanks for your replies. I was able to downloade the VEW program but have not been able to get it to save the information to a notepad file. I must be missing some obvious step. It appears that the program runs okay but when I click on the run button, a few seconds later I get the notepad to open and in the center of that notepad window, there is a small dialog box that opens and has the following information: title of the dialog box - notepad, and then below that it has - Cannot find the C:\VEW.txt. Do you want to create a new file. Then I have three options: Yes, No, and Cancel. If I click on Yes, the small dialog box disappears and then the blank notepad window stays open.

I decided to place a notepad file in the C:\ root directory (C:\VEW.txt) and see if that would help. Unfortunately that did not help as I got the following response. when I click on the run button, I get the blank notepad window to open and in the center of that notepad window, there is a small dialog box that opens and has the following information:the title is VEWv01c, and then the information below that - Run time error 75, path/file access error. The only option offered is OK.

Sorry that I am having trouble running the VEW program. Any thoughts as to how I might be making an error in running this program, would be very much appreciated, Sam.

Jacee, I finally got the VEW program to work, had to right click the .exe icon and select Run as Administrator. The below log information is for the VEW program. I should note two important points. The first concerns the removal of the ShadowProtect Image program, this action has stopped some of warning errors, especially the SidebySide problem. Secondly,in the past few dahys, I added two custom view logs to monitor the boot time (Event ID 100 and Event ID 101 to 110). For some reason, unless I missed seeing it in the below logs, the VEW program did not pickup the error that I posted in my original post. Unfortunately, I am new to Windows 7 and using the event viewer logs. Any further help would be very much appreciated, Sam.
