    I have a Vaio E series
    Core i5 2.40 ghz, 4gb RAM, ATI, Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit, 500 gb HDD, Norton 2010.
Months ago, it's boot up time was normal around 50-60 sec. But now, it started to slow,I went to msconfig>startup> and only synaptics pointing device driver, microsoft windows operating system, and catalyst control center are enabled.
But in services there are alot that are running(i hide all microsoft services)
    adobe active file monitor v8
    amd external events utility
    apple mobile device
    bluetooth service
    intel proset/wireless event log
    flexnet licensing service
    google update service
    intel rapid storage
intel management and security application local management service
    norton internet security
    protexis licensing v2
    intel proset/wireless registry service
    intel sample collector
intel management & security application user notification service
    vaio event service
    vaio power management
    vaio content folder wather
vaio content metadata intelligent analyzing manager
vaio content metadata intelligent network service manager
    vaio content metadata xml interface
    vsnservice
    vuagent
What can I disable? Or what should I do?
    thanks

OK then there may be a problem
Make a full anti virus scan
Download and run a full scan, after update of malwarebytes.
    Defrag
    Chkdsk
    Clear all temporary files etc.
    Optimize Windows 7
How does it boot in safe mode?

Im surprised that you did not find the problem. There is only one other tweek that I know; results are doubtful
    Go to msconfig
    boot
    advanced
tick the number of processors box and put the highestest number.
If it does not help just put it back the way it was
You may have to disable the UAC

Its your decision as to whether the problem warrants that much effort.

Nothing changed. I think the norton internet security is the one which makes this slow. what do you think?
