Do you have a live version of Linux that you can boot up into to see if you can remove the file that way?

on the parent folder, go to properties -
Security / advanced / Change permissions

Then check the box that says: Replace all child objects with inheritable permissions from this object.

See if you get an error.... IF YOU DO: You'll have to inherit the permissions from the parent folder FROM the sub folder.

I do have a live version of Fedora I think but I do not know how to use it; which is why it is still on disk and an older version. I would have no idea how to do it from there; thanks though!!

Yea I cannot change anything to the files inside the main folder. I get an error no matter what I do.

I shouldn't say it like that ALL the ideas that everyone has given me have been great!!
This will be the next thing I try @ 5 when I get off work. Thanks.

Hello Dorkpixie,

If you are unable to delete the file in Safe Mode, then you might see if you may be able to delete the file in a command prompt at boot instead.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
