EDIT: it is normal for a Phenom II to idle at 800 Mhz... It will kick in max core speed once you start a heavy CPU application and go down when the CPU isn't loaded much... STILL I RECOMMEND TO GET LATEST CHIPSET driver... So could you tell me 32-bit or 64-bit... OS
PS: Your hard disk, did you check its model, if its 7200.11.****** and has firmware SD15... PM ME ASAP if you don't wantyou hard disk to fail... Google '7200.11 brick' if you don't believe me... I a Seagate 7200.11 500 GB 32 MB cache with SD15, and it failed....
