That is interesting - although it does show it's limitations in Random Read performance and reads with sequential writes (which is what is the best indicator of actual performance in Windows), you score extremely high in latency (due to the low score), which is likely where you're getting the biggest bump. For example, on an admittedly older system running a 10K WD Raptor drive, I get a 5.9 - even though most of my scores are equal to, or better than, yours:
    Code:
    Windows System Assessment Tool
    > Command Line 'winsat disk -v'
    > DWM running... leaving it on
    > System processor power policy saved and set to 'max performance'

The difference appears to be the Latency scores, which your disk does much better in than mine, and in the overall time to run the tests (meaning your disk is a slight bit faster at doing I/O work, which is expected as well with more cache and a faster system).

    Hmm, I see

Well I just threw Win7 x64 on my other laptop with the SSD in it, so after I get drivers and that on it, I'll do that winsat disk -v thing on it as well.

I was copying something from a DVD though at the time but idk if it affected anything or not.
It's not reporting scores properly. It's giving you scores of over 7 when it shouldn't be. Compare yours to mine and you'll see what I mean.

WEI Score is HDD > SSD for me?-winsat-disk.png

Your maximum latency is 110ms but it's giving you a 7.7!

Hmm, is there any other comparisons? Like maybe any latency below 200-300 is within the 7.0 range?

But even if so, 2 to 100ms latency should have a bigger score difference

It would be worth looking into deeper for sure. Maybe we can get some other folks who have faster HDDs to compare to others with SSDs and see if there's a trend?

Something's very wrong. If it were me, I'd try a repair install.

Hmm, well it's not a driver issue, standard and intel drivers give the same scores pretty much.

If you had access to a second SSD, it'd be worth testing to see if it also gets a 1.9. x.9 scores usually indicate a built-in limitation you're running into, and 1.9 was common in hard drive scores where the controller or firmware was at fault - putting in another drive would rule out firmware if it repro'd with another SSD.

I would but the CR-48 only supports some pci-e SSD (small) ( I don't see standard SATA ports on it at all)
