Try this. Open the webpage (with links on it). Drag the corners until the page is maximized (don't use the maximize in upper right corner).
Choose a link on that webpage you opened, and right click that link, and choose open in a new window.
Drag the corners on that second window until the page is maximized (don't use the maximize in upper right corner).
Close the first window using the X in upper right corner. Now close the second window.
See if that doesn't work. If not, repeat the above, but when closing both windows, hold Ctrl and Shift keys while clicking the X. A Guy
neither of those worked. This is odd. Is there a different way to make a shortuct to this site I could use?

You can create a shortcut to IE on your desktop. Right click that shortcut, hit properties, and in the target line, you'll see something along the lines of
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
You can add a URL after this target entry to open that shortcut to the desired site.
Example: If you wanted it to open google.com, you'd put:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" www.google.com
Make sure there is a space after the last quotation mark.
For you..it would probably be (depending if you are running 64 bit or 32 bit, the x86 may or may not appear):
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" https://mymiami.muohio.edu/webapps/l...2fframeset.jsp
From there, you can use the "Run" dropdown in that same window to select it as Maximized, so it will open maxed, and to that page.

IF you want to make a desktop shortcut to an IE site open full screen in Win7
The ONLY way I have found.......in IE Tools>Add to Start Menu
Then open Start Menu and drag the shortcut to the desktop

Absolutely brilliant Peter. Finally a workable solution for this nagging problem. Works every time.
Just have to remember to remove the Short Cuts from the Start Menu & All programs list.
How on earth did you ever come up with this solution? Reps given. Oops, can't seem to see a REP Button on your post.
Cheers
