cpu and memory usage rises dramatically

Hi, All.
some times when I'm working with my PC, it's memory and CPU usage rises dramatically (say from 700mb to 4GB and 70% CPU usage) and it freezes for about 2 minutes.
meanwhile my hdd is working hard (hdd led is red). after that it continues to working normally. I've takeded a picture form windows task manager screen to show

now I've enabled a performance counter so. after it countered that problem I'll post you.

any ideas?
tanks in advance.

Hi Zareiramin - Start with a virus scan. If you dont find anything then try pining the "Task Manager" to your taskbar so you can activate it very quickly - and as suggested by "Stalker" above check under the "Processes" tab to see if you can see "who's" using your computer.

And while in the task Manager (after studying the processes) click the "performance tab", then the "resource monitor" button at the bottom of the screen and then the "disk tab" to get maybe even a clearer picture of which program or service is accessing your drive and using your computer.

Hi, sorry my late reply
My PC freezes, and i can't run task manager (the above image was a good luck), after about 5 minutes it works normally and my memory usage become normal.
I've runned performance monitor but in middle of freeze time no thing was logged!!!. here is image, I've marked memory available bytes (green dash).

in middle of freezing i can't do any thing. i have to wait until it completed.
the freezing occurs when I'm connecting to internet via broadband connection (may be help u).
one point is that I've update my nvidia driver to last version but some times i get driver has stopped working and has recovered...

chkdsk high memory usage / memory leak
Has anyone else noticed that chkdsk uses all available physical memory (if you let it run long enough)? I find that if I run chkdsk and watch the memory usage in task manager it jumps by about 50MB every 2 seconds or so until it either finishes or hits around 3.2GB at which point my physical...

General Win7 memory leak and Unknown memory usage?
So I've had this problem for a few months with my thinkpad x220, win7 home premium 64 bit. I used ccleaner, run memtest86 multiple times, chkdsk multiple times, sfc scan multiple times, none that helped. Sfc always detects errors but always cannot fix some of them. I have mse, avast, and...

Windows 7 64bit, Memory usage rises/computer freezes over time.
I've noticed over maybe the last few computer would randomly freeze/slow down, yet cpu usage and memory in use is low. It says all of it is cached right now..i don't know if that's normal for Windows 7 or what. It's not freezing right now but it eventually will, yesterday i got the low...

increased memory usage with added memory - why?
I just built a new computer and started with 8GB of memory. A few weeks down the line I purchased another set of the same memory because it was on such a good deal and had great reviews (newegg). It also was working well for me, so I figured maybe more could be better. I haven't noticed any...

Windows 7 random CPU usage and high physical memory usage!!!
Ok, I am literally KILLING myself over this! I installed Windows 7 64Bit over XP around a month ago and it was so good that I recommended it to my brother who was previously on XP too. We got him a copy of the 32bit version as he has only 2gb of memory, and he installed it on his machine....
