Moving LSO cookies of the SSD....

Following the excellent tutorials on this forums I've moved the logs, browsers' cache, temp, etc., files of the SSD to a mechanical drive. The LSO or flash cookies on the other hand are stored in the user profile and it bugs me.

I use Firefox with the BetterPrivacy plugin that deletes the LSO cookies when Firefox is closing. At times, there are 15-20 LSO cookies that are deleted after a longer browser session. Knowing that each LSO cookie can be upto a 100KB is size, that's a pretty good chunk of of storage written and deleted in a relatively short time frame on a daily basis.

Is there a way to move the LSO cookie location off to a mechanical drive? While I am aware that I could move the user profile to a mechanical drive, I rather not do that.

The LSO cookies being at their default location allows deleting LSO cookies that had been created through Firefox and IE as well. I'll test, if LSO cookie location change would prevent removing IE LSO cookies or not.

Well, specifying a directory for "BetterPrivacy" does not force the LSO cookies into that directory; it simply makes "BetterPrivacy" to search for LSO cookies in the specified directory, the actual cookies are still stored at their default location. Next to the "Select Directory" tab it has a "Search Directory" tab; clicking on the letter one brings up the content of the default directory.

I guess it's time to move the user folder, unless someone has a different idea...
