Setting up Raid 0

Hey

I'm looking to possibly setup Raid 0, using Asus Drive Xpert. I have a 750GB and my second hard drive is 1TB. Will I lose some memory off the 750GB drive?

Cheers

No. You will not lose any STORAGE capacity on the 750. You WILL lose some from the 1TB.

Your total volume size will max at 1.5TB (750x2) for a working total of 1.36 TB.

Ok so essentially that 1.36TB acts as 1 hard drive?

Correct for Raid0, but be aware that you lose all data when you lose only one of the drives. And in case this is supposed to be an OS partition drive, you have to reinstall the OS.

Are you not thinking of mirrored Raid1?

Nope that would be 1TB + 750MB. Ideally a stripe set would use identically sized drives though.
