| | Backing Up My friend was showing off on his Mac the otherday and showed me something that I was impressed with, time machine. I was amazed how it constantly backed up the computer and how you was able to go back in time and are able to restore it to a certain time in the past. I was therefore wondering if there was a Windows alternative, as I have been looking online and have found nothing and was wondering if anyone out there knows if such a product exists and is it worth it? |

| | There are such applications out there but historically they have consumed so much resources whilst they continually read/write to the HDD that they have been abandoned. Take the old 'GoBack' program. Used it once for a short time and it came straight off. I just rely on SyncToy now to backup my changed/new 'data' hourly. |

| | You can change your System Restore options quite easily. Just program frequent Restore Points at regular intervals, and you essentially have (almost) the same thing. |

| | The Acronis True Image software offers something called "non-stop backup", which is very similar I believe to what Apple does with Time Capsule. While I own True Image, I simply create images when I want them, versus letting the software run constantly and keep me backed up. |

| | I just got my NAS today, and I got Acronis True Image OEM (on the disk it says Acronis True Image V1.0)......will it be any good, or fairly limited? |
