I've been having some issues with my fonts folder.
I have ~2600 fonts installed (yes, that many) and I've been trying to clean up for 2 days now. Windows will not let me delete anything in the Fonts folder. Not even in safe-mode.
I figured out I can use an Ubuntu LiveCD and delete whatever the hell I want though, so I'll be doing that soon.
BUT, I do have another problem. In my efforts to delete the fonts, I installed FontFrenzy (or something)... which was supposed to restore my Fonts folder to all the default fonts normally found in Windows 7.
Of course, it managed to delete nothing, and in the meantime managed to screw up the way the Fonts folder worked. It currently does not catalog Fonts in families, the menu on the left is gone, etc.
Oh, and it won't let me delete any of these files because "they are in use". Each and every-one of my 2683 fonts is in use.
Is there any way to at least get back those features?
And if there is a way to get them back, is there any way to delete de fonts? It was easy to do before when they were catalogged in families, but now they have crazy names and you don't know what's what.
Btw, I hope I got the right forum... this seems like a "Maintenance" sort of thing.
Thanks, I hope someone can help!
I tried the "restore default settings" thing too. Didn't work.
