    Disable 'Log on' Password

    Hi folks,
First of all, I entered a password for my account, then I entered ' netplwiz ' in the start menu. I then removed the tick from, 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer'. I can now 'Sign In' without a p/w when starting or rebooting my PC. I know some of you have used this,
If you have, now go to start menu and instead of clicking 'restart', click 'Log off ' When done, you will be asked for your p/w. This is the one I would like to disable, can you help ?.

You could just get rid of the password on your acccount. It doesn't sound like you're using it anyways

    Control Panel, Power Options.
Click on Require password on wakeup.
    Select Don't require a password.
    Click Save changes and close.

Hi ie9, a password is required for file sharing. (network based)

Hi Ztruker, the setting was already selected.

AH, I don't think you can get rid of that prompt after you do a logoff.

Do you have more than one account? Why do you logoff?
