Need to run chkdsk but autochk.exe not found-skipping autochk. but.... Well apparently i have some missing files on my computer because Norton is telling me to run chkdsk. So i go to run it and tell it to start on boot up. When boot up comes up i get the message:
autochk not found - skipping autochk
so my chkdsk can run because autochk.exe isnt there, but this is there instead:
autochk.exe.mui
idk what that is, but any help is appreciated because this is getting annoying.
EDIT: i can start up the computer and run windows

If SFC doesn't work, suggest running Startup Repair: Startup Repair

Also sfc didnt work. It may be that your MBR (Master Boot Record) is damaged. Running startup repair multiple times will fix that if it is. Also, when you say SFC didn't work, are you saying it ran but found no problems?
