Disk Defrag/ Chkdsk error

Hello,

Recently I have tried to defrag my computer using windows disk defragmenter. My Acer ( C: ) drive is not showing up in the list of available drives to defrag. I searched around and found that chkdsk can help me fix that problem. Well, when I restart my computer chkdsk never comes up after I told it to. I looked into that and my registry was setup wrong for autochk. I also found out that the size of my autochk file is around 760kb (which was smaller than the ones I seen on other peoples tutorials on how to fix these problems.) It also has no file version. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do, or a file for windows 7 64 autochk.exe?

probably a file system consistency problem

open a command prompt window in admin mode
issue the command:

fsutil dirty set c:

Next time you boot chkdsk should run

Thanks guys, I got it to work about an hour after the post, can't exactly remember what I did, but there was an issue with the autchkdsk.exe file in the system 32 file. Once I got that file fixed, chkdsk ran beautifully and the disk degfrag found my drive.
