    Free Software or Applications

    pparks1 says:

"But Acronis is not a free application...unless you have a seagate or WD hard drive and use their version of Acronis."

I have been checking and looking on the WD site since 1st reading the above statement regarding free software, after purchasing their External Drive. Cant find any anywhere. Hopefully someone can help with more precise directions. Thanks.

All WD software. Testing and Acronis listed.
WD Support / Downloads / SATA & SAS / WD Caviar Black

    WD Acronis.
    WD Support

Also you can go here. http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?wdc_lang=en
Pick your product and it will lead you to all software for your external drive specifically.
    You didn't post specifics.

    Thanks Hopalong,

I'm unsure why the person didn't ask me about this from my other thread...but you have got them pointed in the right direction.

My apologies pparks, and thanks for the additional direction hopalong. I was able to get there. My external drive was a "My Book". Accolades to all who try to help in this forum.
