Protection Settings shows 2 System Partitions? (One missing...) ?

    Hi all,

I kind of stumbled across my System restore settings while nosing around and all of a sudden i noticed my "Protection Settings" field is showing 2 Windows 7 partitions.

One of them says its missing, which might be explained by the fact that i did a image recovery (Acronis) of an excisting (and nicely working) Windows 7 install a little while back.

I was just wondering if anyone here might know of a way to remove the "missing" value?

For the record...my windows installation is fresh and runs without a single hitch (im lovin it... ).

Also, my Disk management nicely shows only one active System partition: Click

Thanks in advance for any help. :)

What happens if you select the missing one and click the Configure button?

I get the configuration window, but even though the System recovery option is "on", the space usage slider is set to 0 bytes.

No matter how far i put the slider up, it keeps saying "xx % of 0 bytes".
Implying that there is no data there at all.

I'm guessing (hoping) the value can be edited through the system registry?

Here's another screenshot of the system security options:

No matter where i put the slider, it keeps saying xx% of 0 bytes implying there is no data concerned.

I really hope there's someone out here who can tell me how to remove the Windows 7 partition value as shown in my first screenshot on the right.

    Hey there,

    Thanks for replying. :)

I thought about doing that a few days earlier but had not given it a try.
I just did and the (Missing) 'partition' simply vanished now. :)
Looks like Microsoft finally understood they needed more suffisticated programming to cut it these days.
    Thanks again for the help.
