    Extreme lag

I'm hoping I can finally get a resolution to this, as this has been going on for quite some time.

I'm currently on an HP running Windows 7 32-bit, and am on a wireless home connection. For whatever reason there may be, there are random moments when the system just lags so heavily that I need to restart my system before things return to normal. When the system lags, my mouse and keyboard are unusable. The mouse will move in random directions at very slow intervals; the keyboard will lag and type more than one letter; my Internet connection slows to an extreme crawl; but overall, the entire system becomes sluggish and needs a full restart. I've noticed this seems to also be triggered when I try uploading files online, but downloading has no effect.

I can say that even after doing a fresh re-install of Windows XP and Windows 7, that I don't believe it has anything to do with software I have installed. I've also changed the batteries my wireless devices which have not helped. All my drivers are up-to-date, so I'm clueless as to what is causing this.

Does anyone have any ideas or can provide any insight?

    Many thanks.
