High disk usage by Firefox

    High disk usage by Firefox


    Just had Norton pop up with a message saying High Disk usage caused by Firefox.

    Never had this before and im wondering why its doing this.

    My laptops a Samsung R780
    Intel (R) Core i5 CPU 2.27GHz 4GB RAM and 64 bit Operating system

    Ive downloaded and run that program but im unsure as what to do next.

    Chrome also produces the same message from time to time. I don't think it is anything to worry about.

    If these messages annoy you you can suppress the by going to Settings-> Administrative Settings and setting Performance Alerts to Log Only.

    thanks kado.
    there is that option although with me being a newbie for things like this it may of highlighted a problem that otherwise i wouldnt of known about.

    then again maybe its just nothing

    Thats true. I just look at the log from time to time.

    Tasks->Check Security History and in the dropdown select Performance Alert.

    There is no big problem with space usage. Program files are taking just a minimum of space. Just enjoy.
