I got it fixed fixed but I need a new heatsink... My temperatures are running at a high 66C on idle! any suggestions for a new heatsink and paste?

I was grounded as for reapply the thermal Paste I did not. I'm going to have my friend check on it just to make sure it wasnt me bring stupid then if the CPU Is fine I'll go buy a new fan and heatsink
Be careful about the fan that you choose. Remember the motherboard has sensors...When I tried to put in a different fan... this one had 4 wires instead of 3. But it used the same colors the computer told me that there was no fan that was connected and the computer would not proceed to turn on if the computer did not sense a fan... for safety reasons...

I would stick with the same millimeter type of fan but maybe a little better heat sink.

Sorry, i have not read all of the thread. What is your Ambient temp? What cooler are you using? How many fans, how big and how fast?

Kinda late now lol. My idle temps now are 38-45 ish. at a full load of gaming it shoots to about 73... I'm going to work on my cable management then If it is still too high I will buy a new fan.

I can't get Cool & Quiet to work propperly, CPU seems to be on HIGH all the time .. my CPU is constantly around 60șC idle/at desktop .. and can shoot up to 75șC+ when in WoW.

    AMD Phenom 8650
2300MHz High .. but should be 1150MHz on low

edit: I just remembered, that something months ago .. I did something in windows to turn off it's own CPU changer thingy .. for what or how I do not remember.

    edit2: FIGURED IT OUT!
Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Power Options .. changed from "High Performance" to "Balanced" .. and now its getting cool n quiet!
