Event Monitor

My machine crashed recently, and I followed a tutorial that displayed events on my machine in a daily, weekly, and monthly view. I don't believe it was the event viewer because the command used to access it through the command prompt was different. Does this sound like a tool any of you know of?

Sounds to me its the reliability monitor, found by typing reli in start menu search box.
