Hybrid Sleep Option Grayed Out

Hi, I have been searching everywhere for the solution to this problem and couldn't find it. I have a Samsung QX410 Laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. Under Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Change advanced power settings > Sleep > Allow Hybrid Sleep, The dropdown menu to select Yes or No for on battery and plugged in are greyed out. They are stuck on "On" and cannot be disabled, even when I click "Change settings that are currently unavailable". When I navigate to Hybrid Sleep, it says Your power plan information isn't available. Any suggestions on how to disable hybrid sleep is greatly appreciated. I really want my computer to sleep faster. Right now it's taking 30 seconds or more to fall asleep but only 3-4 seconds to wake.

Hi and Welcome to SevenForums,

Lets check your hibernation state. Please follow these steps:

1. Click Start Orb, in the search box type cmd
2. Right-click on cmd, and choose the option "Run as administrator"
3. In the cmd window that opens, type powercfg -a

Post the resultant output here.

Golden

Hi,

OK. In the elvated cmd window, type powercfg -h and hit enter, then type powercfg -a again and hit enter and post the results here again.

powercfg -h is an invalid parameter.
powercfg -a still produces the same results.

btw thanks for your effort, it means a lot.

Almost there guys.

The command to enable hibernate is: powercfg -h on

Hybrid is a combination of sleep and hibernate. Unless hibernate is enabled, then hybrid would be grayed out.

thanks guys, but i figured it out. I have a samsung laptop, and all i had to do was disable samsung's "fast start" application and i got all my options back. Frankly, the "fast start" application doesn't sleep or wake the computer any faster.
