    Battery life

Where would i get a new battery for a HP G61 Notebook?
    "Battery ast Full Charge
The battery stored less than 40% of the Designed Capacity the last time the battery was fully charged.
    Battery ID Hewlett-PackardPrimary
    Design Capacity 48840
    Last Full Charge 17760
    Last Full Charge : 36%"
I've got the indicator in the corner saying I need a new battery and 5minutes after unplugging it, goes down to about 50% power. (computer bought on December 27th 2009).
My sisters laptop hasn't got this and she has a mirror of my laptop (except compaq) and hers is older.
    Any recommendations?

    Google's prices were over £50.

Try to stay away for recharged or cheap discounted batteries as you will be back to square one before you
    know it.
Check to see if HP has a longer lasting battery also. May cost a few dollars more but worth it in the long run.

I read somewhere how to make laptop batteries last longer in conjunction with the power adapter.
You may want to googe that after you get some sleep and a new battery today...

@Pixelpro, is there a UK version of Amazon? I've found that their prices in the US are equal or sometimes lower than other sites (Newegg, Tiger Direct, etc). Plenty of reviews, too, should make it easier to weed out the less desirable batteries.

And now as a general question, why has the price of mobile phone batteries dropped like a rock and yet laptop batteries continue to be priced to the moon?

    Yeah amazon.co.uk is uk version.
    I quite like amazon.
Not sure why they are priced this much, I got this laptop for £250. and the new battery is about £50? so according to that, they didn't spend much on the computer then. (charging £50 for a battery rated 1.5 out of 5!? they off their minds!?)
