Very big problems with my laptop

Alright my laptop has been having this problem where at boot svchost.exe took up 50% cpu
I tried fixing the problem by making norton delete all tracking cookies
    Now it's like way worse
    Svchost.exe sometimes does it
Then the .net framework service and when I try to end it just restarts I fixed that by just moving the file to another location
Then when I end svchost.exe the aero themes stop working, the wifi too
I also installed the latest windows update except sp1
And I do have a system restore point of where the svchost.exe process would go to 50% when starting up
    What should I do know?

There's a good chance Norton is at least part of the problem. I would uninstall it and install one of the free lightweight AV's recommended here, MS Security Essentials or Avast, which when run with the Win7 firewall give best performance.

Next uncheck everything in msconfig>Startup except AV and gadgets/stickies if you use them. All others are freeloaders at all times on your RAM/CPU, Startup time and can spy on you: Startup Programs - Change

Next in msconfig>Services tab, tick the box to Hide All MS Services, then uncheck anything you didn't start yourself to see what is running without your knowledge. Turn it off in it's Program Preferences or uninstall it as it is freeloading.

Finally run through these other troubleshooting steps which cover all the basics and should root out your problem.
