    A few problems to resolve.

    Hi forum users I have a few W7 problems . . .

    • Auto disc play doesn't work now as of last week after using Ccleaner.
    • I have backups of the registry files before Ccleaner was used but not sure if this a registry problem.
    • Can't use recovery, I get errors saying: An unspecified error occurred during system restore (0x80070005)
    • Recovery hasn't been adding restore points for 10 months? Undo restore also fails.
    • Mozilla takes 30-40 seconds to come up after clicking on the shortcut in taskbar.
    • Have noticed screen grabs and stutter in fps games (BC2), have the latest gfx drivers and installed other previously used drivers.
    • Have tried to do windows repair from a tut in these forums and get an error saying I can't upgrade due to having a later copy of windows 7 than the upgrade.
    • Have tried sfc /scannow and have no errors.

Any help would be appreciated as I don't really want to format.

No offense to S&D, but Malwarebytes is the superior program. Well worth the free download:

Are you saying AutoPlay won't run when you insert a disk or flash stick?

Type CMD in Start Search box, rightclick to Run as Admin, type: net start shellhwdetection. Restart your computer.

    Change AutoPlay settings
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...oPlay-settings

    Troubleshoot AutoPlay problems
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...oPlay-problems

Next in Control Panel>User Accounts>Manage another Account: Set up a new User account to see if the problem still exists. If not, repair your User account following these steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/W...d-user-profile

Turn on System Protection now and apportion more disk space so more points hang around longer: System Protection - Change Disk Space Usage

Is this an in-place Upgrade or factory preinstall, or do you use Registry Cleaners or do any other tweaking? CCleaner would not cause this problem.
