Windows 7: How to undo an partition shrink

Hi i did shrink my c drive a few days ago now i want to undo this partition

I know how to split my drive in a seperate partition but i don t know how to undo this?

Does anybody have any tips?

Hi broeckie27. Simply delete the partition that you created. After that, right click on the remaining partition and "extend volume ".

i have the same question but the option for extend volume is gray and i cannot use it

Post a screen shot of Windows Disk Management so we can see what is going on with your partitions.

I hope you do NOT have "dynamic" disks.

Hi all, it is a question. I shrinked my hard drive from 700 to 500GB, thinking that I will see the 200 in a seperate drive, that I will format and become official drive. BUTTT I DON'T know where the 200 went. I really want it as a back up drive, and if not possoble, HOW do i undo the shrink and get back my original 700 gb. Thanks . oh, how do I can actually put this for everyone to see , so more people might see it rather than being a reply ????

you can post a new thread, you need to create a partition from the 200GB you shrunk then format it, if you wanna merge it back the press extend partition in disk management.
