    Directory information

In the days of DOS, individual directories had Kb totals with directories.

I've since not found this feature as a native windows ability. Particularly, the ability to see (with explorer or a third party explorer alternative) the total cumulative filesize within a sub-directory and the consequent total of those sub-directories listed on the above parent directory.

Anyone know if this can be forced in explorer or if there's utility?

One purpose is to get a handle on the total filesize of audio albums being maintained on disk for xfer to an ipod.

    Hi markg2,

Right click the directory in question, and click Properties.

The "Total Size" listed, is the size of all files, including subdirectory's.

    Hope it helps :)
