    Windows 7(64 bit) sleep issues.


    Recently I have been experiencing problems with my computer's sleep function. For some reason my computer does not go into sleep mode in when it is set to. My monitor has no problem at all going into sleep mode but for some reason my computer does not. I can manually tell it to go to sleep via the start menu but still for some reason my chassis fans are still on when before the problem they would go off(I don't know if this an issue or not). Before this problem arose my computer would shut off completely(windows did not shut down properly) instead of going to sleep. I managed to correct that problem by disabling hybrid sleep, hibernate and wake timers but now this nuisance has surfaced. The day that all of this started to happen I did download some drivers directly from the disk that came with my motherboard. The drivers I downloaded are as follows: Intel Chipset driver, Management engine interface, Intel LAN driver, Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver software, Marvell SATA 6G AHCI driver, USB 3.0 driver, Browser Configuration Utility and the JMicron JMB36X controller driver. Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated! I am new to this whole forum and such so if there is any information I left out or anything just let me know. Thanks.

    Have you installed this post-SP1 hotfix yet?
    A crash memory dump file is not created, or hibernation does not work, when you use a SCSIport miniport driver as the startup device driver in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2

    Hey thanks for the reply but it apparently turned out to be something with the driver for my mouse or keyboard. Earlier today I downloaded it from Microsoft Update and now my computer sleeps fine. Thanks again.

Every time I resume Windows from sleep the display from my monitor stays black. It shows the resuming windows and everything just not anything past it. I know its just the display because when I press the power button twice (returing the computer to sleep) what I typed is still in the password box....
