    Hibernation Malfunction

Hey everyone, it's been a while since i've been having a hibernation problem, i'm pretty sure it happened after i updated SP1 for my Win 7 ultimate x64, this is how it goes:
    - i choose hibernate (power button as i've set before OR hibernation option from the shut down menu), NO "windows is preparing to hibernate" shows up, display goes off but the HDD is still functioning for a few more seconds, then supposedly "hibernation" happens, and when i turn the PC on again, it's as if the whole "hibernation data" to be restored is completely dumped, and it's asked of me whether to start the windows normally or in safe mode bla bla...

have done sfc /scannow & CHKDSK, nothing is wrong, the pc is pretty much always up-to-date, but i also do poke around the registry (not manually, with CCleaner) and only to clean up after an uninstalled app, might it be a registry string mishap?! (oh look! it rhymed! )

    help me plz?!

Do you have your system drive on the Jmicron controller port or one of the Intel chip ports?
