Windows 7: Problem reliably converting .wtv to .dvr-ms

Problem reliably converting .wtv to .dvr-ms

When I decide to concurrently convert multiple (or even sometimes 1) files using the right click convert option, often they donít finish converting. It appears that if the PC is/becomes too busy, the conversions just give up and end part way through, with no warning. I then have to look at file sizes to see if the conversion(s) completed and, if they didnít, attempt them again. Eventually they all get converted, so there is no .wtv file corruption.

In addition, when conversions are happening, it substantially affects my concurrent media sharing and WMC recording/playing.

How do I get these conversions to complete reliably?

How do I permanently tell WTVConverter.exe conversions to always run at a low CPU & i/o priority in the background so they donít affect real-time and normal UI applications?

The PC is up to date on patches/drivers and should be able to prioritize obvious applicationsÖ
