    Unable to open services.msc

    Hi,

I have just got a new Dell mini 1018 with Windows 7 starter 32 bit edition. Each time I tried to access Services I get a pop-up window saying - Windows can't open this file: To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it. Windows can go online to look it up...

I have no idea how to resolve this issue. The 2 options of selecting a web service or an installed program do not seem suitable to resolve this.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

    Thanks.

See if restoring the "msc" default association from this list helps at all.

If Airbots suggestion doesn't work, you can associate it manually.

When the message pops up> Choose select a program from the list of installed programs> Click Browse> Navigate to C:\Windows\System32 and locate mmc.exe> Make sure the option Always use the selected program to open this kind of file is selected> Click OK
