Win 7Pro 64bit "Defrag" question

When running "Defrag"....is there any danger to continuing to work on other programs/operations while defrag is running ? Or is it best to run defrag only and leave the PC alone ?

Also...if Defrag is running...any problems with any programs "Auto-Update" running...ie...virus software updates or any other program's normal updates in task manager ?

Thanks...TRinAZ

There shouldn't be any danger in that. I'm not a defragger but check this link out where Brink is explaining how to defrag properly

Disk Defragmenter - Open and Use

Good luck,

The defragmentation built into Windows 7 is designed to run in the background. So yes its fine to continue to use the computer to the fullest extent while it is running.

Changing the "minimize" "maximize" and "close" buttons of a theme
Ok so I'm using a custom visual style made by another user however I don't really like the buttons used that I mentioned above. The creator states it is acceptable to change the theme to however you like as long as you don't redistribute it anywhere. Ok so I opened up the .msstyles file (using...

I want to defrag my C and E drives before Norton Ghost backs them up. Norton Ghost will run a batch file before the backup, so I made a simple one: C:\Windows\System32\Defrag.exe C: E: It won't run, however. I get an error message saying I have "insufficient permission" to run...
