    Services question

Could some of you check Services> Windows Installer, highlight, then right click and then click properties.
Check your settings and post them.

I'm sure these are wrong. It should be Started I beleive but not sure if Manual or Auto.

    Thanks
    Mike

Yours doesn't appear to be on. Maybe it isn't supposed to be.
Service Status- Stopped on yours also.

    Thanks Zigzag!

The windows installer is set to manual, it is only started when a software installer calls upon it. For future reference:

    Hi Mike,

According to Windows Installer - Process and Service wiki, the default status of this service is Manual. This means that the service is, by default, stopped but will automatically start when required and then stop again once the operation requiring it has finished running.
