Nice rig, the CPU score doesn't go any higher than that with todays CPUs.

    Thanks Guys.

Have the details about the lack of a 7.9 on a processor been explained here before? It just reminds me of when I was in school and a teacher would say " I don't give out all A's because that means you can't improve... there's always room for improvement."

    I hated that teacher.

Hello Gromit1710, and welcome to SF. Excellent WEI scores, and yes the 7.9 CPU scores have been discussed several times here. there is no commercially available CPU that is capable of a 7.9 at this time. General consensus is it would take 6 real cores that are hyperthreaded to score a 7.9. At least that's what I have gathered from all the discussions. So, you can rest assured that you have the highest WEI score possible. Congratulations

    Thanks for that.

I've been mildly obsessing over how an I7 overclocked couldn't produce the top rating!

Hi, This is my rating, WD Caviar Green = 5.9
Anyway, the PC is 2 years old, so it's ok so far.

You are very welcome. But, don't feel lonely. A lot of people have questioned the exact same thing.

Those are quite good scores. Looks like you have a nice machine. don't be concerned about WEI, it is not a performance test and really dosen't matter. As long as your computer will do what you want it to do, it's all good.

In that case, WEI dosen't matter. If your PC will do what you need it to, then it is the PC you need. Why pay thousands of dollars more for a car that will do 140 MPH when you only drive 60 MPH.
