    If it does the job, it is good. I would call that an 'average system'. I have a couple older laptops that are not that good (except for the disks which are SSDs). The wife uses them for browsing her craft sites and is happy. That's all that counts.

    It's definetely an average system. The PC is a couple of years old and it's factory standard except a GeForce 7800 and a 1TB WD hard drive :)

    I got a real boost out of my older systems by installing SSDs. It is only for the OS and it is a $100 deal for a 60GB SSD. But that surely makes those old boxes fly. The matter is a bit more expensive for laptops because you cannot offload the user files to the HDD.

    It was 7.8 with ATI latest drivers went down to 7.7 after switching to Windows default driver due to incompatibility with TotalMedia Theater5
