    I'm stuck at 5.9.
    I haven't installed a SSD, yet.

Thank you Paul. I know I could increase the score with an SSD but there is no way I can do that for now.
Keep a sharp eye for sales Tony, there have been some really good sales of late. $70 for a 64GB M4.
Yeah, I am not your average geek. On one of the towers I have Windows 7 64 bit Ent and 32 bit Ultimate and on the other I have 32 bit 7 Ultimate and 2 versions of 64 bit Enterprise. One stripped down with no aero to run the VM's and the other with all the aero twinkly flashy bits turned on. I like my systems the way they are. I would need at least 2 SSD. Once the OS is booted I have to wait for a virtual image of 30 to 40gbs to load but most other stuff is quick. I use 2 32GB USB drives as ready boost cache and that speeds the PC load and run times up after a while as it does seem to learn what to cache. Talk to me about a 1TB SSD for $50 and I'll be buying a couple instead of food.

This is my new Ivy Bridge with my returned NVidia Ge Force GTX 650 in I think my previous figure was 5.9 or there abouts running an old AX 850 while waiting for the replacement GPU (RTM) .

So is this good as I am pretty dumb at this stuff by the by the machine is now flying.

Me neither. 5.8 or 5.9 is a standard SATA or ATA hard drive.
Just not sure about their durability as I have seen the horror stories.

Hiyya Indie I have the Samsung 830 120GB in with 8GB RAM @ 1866MHz - I can belt that out to 2400 but it seems to be happy at 1866.

My Sandy Bridge has a Crucial M4 120GB and 16 GB @ 1333MHz it is using on board graphics at the moment but if adding a GPU like that improves the Ivy B then I might think of a GeForce for it but it would be a tight squeeze. I do have an Ati HD 5450 silent card but I had a bit of trouble with the Catalyst Centres so took it out.

It's top rate is 7.6 and the actual is 5.2!

I meant to add I think you will find most folks are tending towards non Sandforce controlled SSD's and I haven't had a problem yet.

Far be it for me to pee on your chips but you have not read about AMD boards and their MOSFETS exploding when you over clock excessively and exceed the maximum TDP. For example unlocking a four core to a six core and then overclocking that by 800MHZ. You have turned a 95Watt part into a 140 watt plus part. Get some heatsinks on those MOSFETS or kiss not only your scores good bye but also your CPU, PSU, RAM and possibly Hard drives and DVD burners.:)
He had to kiss the forum goodbye too earlier
One and out, quite an achievement

Been a long time since I posted mine. Low power GPU, just a BCLK bump with turbo and all power savings on. Not fancy, but more then I need, lol.

I have to stop looking at the SSD scores. I am not working and Santa won't be bringing me an SSD for Xmas. It really is the biggest improvement in speed you can do to even an old system never mind a recent one.
Oh! tax refund time. Hardly earned anything this year so may get some back from what I did earn. I'll have to come up with some crazy plan telling the wife they save power and get her one too.
