High activity on HDD after wakeup from hibernation

    Hi guys!
well, i’ve been watching that when the system wake up form hibernation, the LED that shows me the activity (I guess read/write..) of the hard disk is blinking, and keep doing that for several minutes (2- 6 minutes).
The weird part is that the system is not going slow, when i open the task manager to see what is running, in processor usage the value is minimal, between 0 and 5%.
In the “process” tab, the only thing using some CPU is one of the “svchost.exe”, it had an intermittent CPU usage of 0-3%, when i finished it, the LED stop blinking.
The system only do that when waking up from hibernation, on restarts or normal starts, everything is normal.

Hello Kharl this seems to be normal, when the system goes into Hibernation all data is copied from the RAM to the HDD. Likewise when you start it up again the same occurs only in the other direction.
    I hope this helps

You can look into Resource Monitor > Disk tab. That tells you which processes are doing the R/W activities.

I don't think you understood what I was posting. Did you look into Resource Monitor? The disk tab does not tell you which processes take how much CPU time - but which processes write and read the disk.

Either you type "Resource Monitor" into start/search or you click the button in the task manager > performance tab. The Disk tab you will see on top.
