    Performance Monitor error


    Everytime I try to access Performance Monitor (a really handy feature) I get an ActiveX error... Can't find anything for it. Error is:

    One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either:
    1) your current security settings prohibit ActiveX controls on this page, or
    2)you have blocked a publisher of one of the controls.



    I believe the error is the culprit to another problem. After I generate a system health report, none of the menus in the actual report are clickable. The icon will change when my cursor is over it, like it would work, but clicking does nothing.


    Windows 7, Just installed SP1. Let me know if further details are needed (i am somewhat tech savvy)

    Strange.

    I'd try running sfc /scannow in your command prompt if you haven't tried.

    SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Try also scanning your files using Malwarebytes. It's defiantly one of the best software for cleaning worms, corrupt files etc. We used to suggest people to run a full scan here on SevenForums.

    Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download

    If non of this worked, try restore your system to a few days, or where it started to happen.

    i have configured one website in my IIS(asp.net project) and now i want to check the performance and physical memory management in performance monitor how can i check performance monitor for that application level only.

Hi, Just got an Asus G73 laptop. It has an ATI 5870 1Gb. It also has a HDMI port. Question is: Will playing games on external HDMI Monitor diminish game quality performance. The fact of using an external monitor, does it make the graphics card work harder thus decreasing performance.

why did M$ wreck the performance monitor? i can't get to view the monitor because it's stuck in a directory (c:\perflogs) that i don't have permission to access. what a crock. unless someone can point out something i'm doing wrong. but i added counters, only to see that it's output was...
I can't use the Resource monitor. This is build 7048. Is this a known bug? I can't find anything about it. Do any of you have this problem? It just keeps coming back until I close Resource monitor. Thanks for any info. 5782 I mean the Resource Monitor. Also....it worked at first....I assume...
