    Battery Low Notification

Hi, recently from past 7-8 times I am not getting any battery drain notification from windows. Before it gave notifications for the same at 9% & 7% battery level. I have checked my 'Advanced Power Options' settings the notification is already set to 'ON'. I have also tried setting power option plans to default. How can I manage to get my low battery notifications back? Sometimes it is really annoying. OS: Windows 7 ultimate.

    Hello Debugger,

In your advanced power options, expand the Battery option, and check to make sure that each on is turned on and has the percentage set for how low the battery gets before being notified for each action and level.

    Hope this helps,

I checked out the Microsoft site for Battery faq and how to change low battery notification which didn't tell me something I didn't already know. So I checked on some issues posted on microsoft site. I discovered that when I changed my Critical Battery Action to "Shut Down" from "Hibernate", the Low Battery Notification popped up and could switch to a power source. I changed the Critical Battery Action back to "Hibernate" and the Low Battery Notification still pops up. I am just trying it again after a reboot. I hope it works fine.

Double check to make sure that your "Low Battery Notification" setting is higher that all the other "level" settings.

    Low battery level: 10%
    Critical battery level: 5%
    Reserve battery level: 7%

    Low battery notification: ON.
    Low battery action: Do Nothing.

How does it work using a Low battery action, and or no critical battery action?

Critical battery action is already set to:
    On battery: Hibernate
    Plugged in: Do nothing

when I set 'On batter: shutdown' the notification shows. After resetting it to hibernate and a reboot, it wont notify.
