Computer Running Slower

alright, so it isn't a slow computer its a slow internet connection/browser type problem?

What browser do you use, firefox, Internet explorer 8, 9?

Go into the add-ons section of your browser and disable/remove every add-on that you do not use or need. if you have firefox, Internet explorer 8, or chrome, download the newer versions of the browsers, which are much faster. The more add-ons you remove, the faster your browser gets

You'll need adobe flash, so keep that add-on, and any add-on you really need and use. may help to clear your temporary internet files (only needed once).

If you suspect it is the browser, reinstall it and reinstall the add-ons. Use the snipping tool or such and get a snapshot of your task manager. open it up, click on the processes tab, and expand the window so that you can see all of the processes. make sure you have "show processes from all users" checked, and if you need to, take two snapshots if you cant get it all (top portion, scroll down and get the bottom portion).
Do me a favor and click on your name in this forum. it will take you to your profile page. then click on the system spec tab, and please fill everything out that you can. let me know if you need help or not. for example, you say your system is 64 bit but your system specs claim 32 bit. who made your computer? do you have a warranty?

click system information through a taskbar search. The system summary will list much of your system specs. Then expand components and click problem devices and see if anything is listed.

next, RIGHT-click on computer and click properties. on the left window pane you will see "advanced system settings". click it, and in the new window, under performace, click settings. unchecking these boxes will slowly make windows appear lame, but will also speed up your computer. uncheck all the items that you don't really need (you can test it out and see if you don't mind the change or not).

go into control panel and click sytem and security. under windows update, click check for updates. check for updates and install all important updates, and any optional updates that deal with drivers or stability to the system. after that, do another update and install important updates, keep doing this until no more important updates can be found.

other system information can be found in manuals that came with your computer if you still have them. otherwise you could open up your computer to get a look at the devices, but you don't need to do that yet, lets just see what you find up to this point. good luck, this may take some time.

on a good note, your processor seems fine. what exactly is slowing down your computer? is it slow at the moment you took that screenshot? is it only slow when browsing the internet? are there specific programs that make it slow? does it eventually speed up?

You have a really powerful processor. It is possible your RAM went bad, so follow this thread: Memory Diagnostics Tool and check to see if your RAM is good.

Did you disable any services in services.msc on your computer, or tamper with the registry in any way?

Is your Hard Disk full? What was going on when you started noticing a difference in system speed (items that were recently installed, settings that were changed, etc)?

It could be a virus. like i said, you should try uninstalling all virus protections on your computer and install the microsoft security essentials and malewarebytes (i gave you links in previous posts) and they should be able to detect any problems after they are completely updated and have a full system scan performed (they usually try to perform a quick scan; do the full scan instead. this may take time. You can do a repair install of windows 7 through this tutorial here: Repair Install

It wont help you if you skip things to save time, such as the memory diagnostic or defragment or full security scan. These things do take time and you will just need to be patient in order to sort it out.

Did you install anything recently? You may look into (if you have it) going back to a previous restore point when your computer was acting normally through this tutorial: https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html

A System Restore will also uninstall programs and drivers (step 8 in Option One) that were installed after the date on the selected restore point.

Failing all of this, unless someone else has a suggestion, it is either a hardware problem (could be a motherboard malfunction or any number of things, but don't start buying things unless you know for sure) or it is something that can only be solved through a complete reinstall of windows.

If everything fails, you might see if any warranties cover a failing computer or take it in to a computer repair store. I have run out of advice, unless I have a whole lot more details, such as recently installed programs or any guess as to why it should be slowing down.
