    Sleep Modus Wakeup Issue ?

    Hi.

My laptop wakes up immediately after it went into sleep.

Here the device that wakes it up:

    C:\Users\Me>powercfg lastwake
    Wake History Count - 1
    Wake History [0]
    Wake Source Count - 1
    Wake Source [0]
    Type: Device
    Instance Path: ACPI\PNP0C0E\2&daba3ff&2
    Friendly Name:
    Description: ACPI Sleep Button
    Manufacturer: (Standard system devices)
    C:\Users\Me>

It was working fine with Windows Vista Ultimate but not on Windows 7.

I looked in the BIOS settings but there is nothing in there about ACPI settings.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

Hello Tommy.... this looks very much like the same issue you had more than a year ago: notebook wakes up just after enterd sleep mode

    What fixed it that time?

....... thanks for your reply and sorry for that double post.

Nothing fixed it since my 1st post.

I've tried everything possible like driver updates, power settings etc. but the problem remains.

As I said I never had any trouble on Vista and as far as I remember it was working in Windows 7 as well after I installed it but I'm not sure anymore.

If it worked on Vista it should work as well in Windows 7, I guess.

    Hopefully someone can help.

    Thanks again .......

OK... since we're working on this thread now, could you please complete all details in your user profile. See: https://www.sevenforums.com/general-d...html#post23230

and, while you're at it, try:
Go to Command prompt (type cmd on the Search box and press ENTER) then type:

    powercfg – lastwake

    For more detailed info:

    powercfg –devicequery wake_armed
Post a snip of the result or (since it shouldn't be much info) type the result in a post. This should tell you what woke it up the last time... Obviously only usefull when it is doen asap after waking up.
