    hard drive help


    my c drive is my main drive i put some back up on my d drive is my D drive always on idle and how can i tell as i want it to be idle so i know it will last longer then the c drive is there anyway to make the d drive last longer

    here it is i have two hdd my d drive only has back ups on it but when i use the files i use it on the c drive and my normal operation would be confined to the c driv e as it is main i want the d drive to be mostly idle how can i achieve that or for it to turn off
