RAID 0 as 2nd Internal HD (not OS) help

SET UP:
1HD with Windows 7 Pro 64bit OS as C: drive. (1TB)
2HDs set up on RAID 0 Array as SECOND internal HD as storage.

Hi every one! Can you guys please help me with this? I was set able o set up my 2 hitachi 1TB drives as a RAID 0 Array, when windows boots up, im able to see the array in Disk management, (even am able to format there), I'm also able to see it in the Intel Rabid Storage Technology program, but when i click on my computer, its not there... only the C: and the DVD rom... how can i fix this? Please help!

Set up:
Intel i7 2600k
Z68 chipset
No Graphics card yet.

Hi,

Everything you have done so far is correct.

It sounds to me as if the RAID0 is not formatted for Windows. In Computer Management > Disk Management, see if you can see the RAID disk. Post an image of what you see.

Regards,
Golden

Make sure it's flagged as "Online" in Disk Mgmt too.

You really sure you want to use RAID0 as a storage drive? If so I hope you have a really good backup plan in place for the 2 TB, as for if for any reason you lose a drive or the RAID fails you will lose everything on it.

yeah i do a lot of photoshop and some video editing which is why im looking for some inexpensive hard drive speed, but i have 2 external hard drives on to which i back up everything, so i have triple redundancy when it comes to back up. i just hope i can make this internal array work.

Good too hear.

Oh and you haven't assigned it a driver letter yet. Do that and it should then become visible in Explorer.

Right click on it and select "change drive letter and paths".
