A Bad Harddrive?

Well.. my laptop did this thing where it would go really slow..then crash.. I took it to Star-Tech in the mall..and they looked at it and said it was a bad hard-drive sector or something like that? I was wondering, is there anyway to get around that other than me re-installing windows every-time it crashed? I don't have the money to get a new hard-drive or anything either, plus I feel like Star-Tech is a rip off and just wants my money. -Thanks, Kyle!

oh and as for the performance thing, I couldn't get that to work, so here is a snapshot.
Is Windows 7 . . .
- x64 bit
- the original installed OS on the system? No. Vista was originally installed.
-I bought the Windows 7 Fresh Install disk @ Office Max..?

The failure I'm showing is actually coming from the usb hub.

go here Download
choose
notebook
aspire
5810t
Use the drop down window to select windows 7 32bit.
You should install the items listed under the driver tab there.

OK, I need to install all of them? And I think I have Windows 7 64 bit, will it make a difference?

This page shows only drivers that are not contained in Windows 7. is what it says.. oh and which ones specifically?
